SUSTAINABILITY
Long before the scarcity of resources and climate change became widely discussed issues, Wiesner-Hager was fully aware of the necessity of a sustainable development. Since the mid-1980s environmental problems have been analysed and solved by Wiesner-Hager systematically and step by step, and on the basis of our commitment to an active environmental policy. The rooting of eco-political principles in our corporate philosophy and the introduction of an environmental management system, first acc. to EMAS, later acc. to ISO 14001, were milestones on our road to sustainability. In 2010 we started to prepare company-wide life cycle assessments acc. to ISO 14040, and in 2012 we issued the first Environmental Product Declaration acc. to ISO 14025.
